Real Estate Prices

Fort Worth real estate is moderately priced compared to the nation as a whole, offering Texas residents an exceptional value to go along with our friendly and modern city atmosphere. Here you'll find a pleasant climate, low unemployment, world-class shopping and services -- and a number of school districts that are enjoying new facilities. Fort Worth homes are available in many styles and price ranges. Property values are mostly steady right now but the trend has been modestly higher over the past few months.

Real Estate Market

Like the rest of the country, the Fort Worth real estate market is below its peak activity but the market is recovering much more quickly than most of the other major metropolitan areas.  Both seasoned and first-time home buyers will be inspired by our modest home prices coupled with current low interest rates. Add to this the steady population growth and you have the formula for excellent buying opportunities.

Fort Worth Texas

Fort Worth is home to a number of major corporations including RadioShack, Pier 1 Imports, American Airlines and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Consistently ranked as one of the top places in the nation to live, work and do business, Fort Worth has twice been awarded the prestigious All-American City award by the National Civic League. With a population of over 740,000 (census figures - 2010), Fort Worth is now the 16th-largest city in America -- passing Seattle, Boston and Washington DC.  Most of the city's growth over the past two years has been north of Loop 820 in a portion of the city known as the Alliance Corridor.

Fort Worth Texas is a wonderful combination of the "old west", modern culture and space-age technology. Fort Worth was established in 1849, originally as a U.S. Army Fort to protect the area. A small civilian community began to spring-up around the safety of the fort and a few years later, large cattle drives came right through the area.  With the introduction of railroads, Fort Worth became the main railhead for the transport of Texas beef throughout the northeast United States.

Fort Worth Texas Real Estate

Fort Worth is the gateway to a western culture that still lives on today. Known for a progressive embrace of the arts including numerous world renowned museums, Fort Worth boasts the first theater in the round - The Casa Maņana Theatre, a world-class Zoo, and the formal Botanic and Water Gardens. Every cowboy can tell you about the Stock Show, Billy Bob's and the famous Fort Worth StockYards. Fort Worth is also home to many corporate headquarters.  Renowned companies such as Motorola, Nokia and Intel have a presence in Fort Worth, along with some of the most progressive business minds in the world. You'll find a wealth of cultural enrichment such as the Bass Performance Hall and Sundance Square, educational excellence - top-rated public and private schools - TCU - and new, ultra-modern suburban neighborhoods with nearby shopping and restaurants.  Fort Worth is distinctly separate from its neighboring city, Dallas, with a culture and lifestyle decidedly different and more "laid-back".  Although only a few miles separate the two great cities, heavy traffic can make for a long commute during the rush hours. Fort Worth lives and breathes a refreshing, optimistic lifestyle that visitors find enchanting and residents are glad to call home.
